Power Steering Pump and Bracket Part numbers - SWP/Drivers Low mount
All,
I'm getting set to do the PS swap into my 66 C10 using Captain Fabs bracket. Looking on ebay for "SBC Short water pump Power Steering Bracket", I see at least a half dozen different options. Would prefer to run a factory GM bracket vs a universal aftermarket one... The details of the truck: New SBC 350 crate engine Short Water Pump Alternator mounted on Drivers side high mount. Does anyone have a list of Part Numbers, that they used that worked? Looking for the following: Pump Bracket Pump Pump Pulley and less urgently: Crank Pulley Waterpump pulley Alternator Pulley Thanks! |

Yes, I'm using Alan Grove and they line up perfectly.

I have used Alan Grove brackets on two vehicles over the years. Not cheap, but they are the absolute best! I've also bought Canadian-made pulleys from a local hot rod shop. Again, not cheap, but no wobble like the Chinese crap.

Thanks RocknRod!! I called Alan Grove, those guys know their stuff. Ordered the bracket, crank pulley and pump pulley! Much easier!

I used the AG low brackets (LWP) but had the misfortune to have the wrong style pump, so ended up like this:
A new pump with the correct mounting configuration sorted it, and it was all detailed in their literature so was an easy fix.

Guess I'm a little late,, but for the record here is my experience with the Borgeson P/S pump bracket.

You'll be happy with the Alan Grove stuff. I have their power steering brackets on both my 64 C10 and my 65 Impala.
On both vehicles, the power steering belt runs VERY close to one of the brackets, but it has never caused any issue and I drive my vehicles quite a bit. |
