1968 C10 - CPP modular drop spindles - what stock brakes can I use?
With the CPP modular drop spindles and add-on caliper mounting plates...what stock options do I have for brakes?
This is 6-lug, and I don't really want to jump into a big-brake system. I'd like to order rotors & calipers for a 19XX _______ and have them fit. What I have, doesn't fit. CPP's website is ultra helpful and claims "This allows these spindles to be used with a wide range of disc brake applications....." Well...what did you use? |

Re: 1968 C10 - CPP modular drop spindles - what stock brakes can I use?
I called CPP last night after more head scratching. Their tech service guy who was very polite and helpful, said that bearings, calipers, pads, dust cap etc are all 1975 C10, but the rotors are a 6-lug version of that rotor - CP4R6-6
After plugging this into the search, I do now see they require this “custom” rotor, and it had been mentioned by a few folks. Others bought the standalone “kit” which contains everything from the hoses to the dust cap, for around $350. Ordered rotors from Summit. Hoping for the best. |
