Need inner fender attachment info
I had the floor and toe board on my ‘51 3600 replaced a few years ago and no longer have the three holes on each side for attaching the inner fenders to the toe board. Wondering if anyone can give me some dimensions or guides to locate those holes. Don’t trust just holding the inner fenders against the toe board without some idea of its proper location. Any help would be welcome.

Re: Need inner fender attachment info
Unless someone can come up with a better Idea I can run out, trace the kick boards on some stiff paper and mail the patterns to you in the morning.
I've got a 51 1-1/2 ton cab and a 49 3100 cab within real easy reach. BRB.

Re: Need inner fender attachment info
Mine are in pretty bad shape to get accurate measurements
You might be better off to bolt the front end on, mark the holes with the inner fenders and park brake bracket and drill the holes unless someone has far better foot boards than I do.

Re: Need inner fender attachment info
Unfortunately outer cowl sides and inner corner pieces are tacked in place waiting for front clip to be attached before permanently locating and welding in place. Also no parking brake bracket. (I’m really not intentionally trying to make this more difficult.) Template would be great if someone could do that.

Re: Need inner fender attachment info
do you still have the ebrake bracket for the drivers side? the inner is about an inch short of the toe board without it.

Re: Need inner fender attachment info
I’ll have to check tomorrow to see if I have that bracket. Don’t even remember what it looks like so will first have to find a pic of what I’m looking for.
I don’t understand this: “the inner is about an inch short of the toe board without it.”

Re: Need inner fender attachment info
the inner fender does not bolt to the toe board on a 1/2 ton (and 3/4 and 1 ton). it bolts to the E brake BRACKET and that bracket bolts to the toe board. if you are missing the bracket, the inner fender will not touch the toe board. there will be a little more than an inch gap.

So I went to the garage where I have my radiator support/inner fender assembly I rescued from storage today and did some measuring. Yep, driver side is shorter than passenger side. Never would have thought that. Exact amount I can't tell without locating that assy on the frame but it appears to be more than an inch. Could make a spacer but I guess better solution is to locate a E brake bracket. Still need dimensions or template to locate holes correctly. Thanks all for the help and education. Most helpful.

Re: Need inner fender attachment info
As Joedoe said, the drivers side inner fender won't bolt on unless you have the park brake bracket. The exception might be a 47 inner fender or one off a 47/48 1 ton that had the transmission mounted park brake.
This is the bracket.

Re: Need inner fender attachment info
I've got to pull the one on my parts cab off some time anyhow so i if the rain stops I'll see if I can get it off and get some photos today. if you aren't hanging the park brake off it all you need is something like a piece of light square tubing for a spacer.

Pics always helpful. Don’t need the e-brake bracket so guess I’ll try marc’s method. If I can’t get that to work I’ll put a tube spacer in.

Re: Need inner fender attachment info
There is quite a bit of difference in the angle between the back of the inner fender and the foot board.
My tubing idea won't work but if you fabbed a spacer it doesn't have to match the original bracket it just has to space the inner fender off the foot board.

Re: Need inner fender attachment info
I made a Photobucket album of the bracket and the park brake pedal mechanism.
I'll probably stick some more photos in it before all is said and done to have for when someone asks a question on that setup. https://photobucket.com/u/mr48chev/a...d-f8458bdef325
