I had a NOS one and sold it just the other day. They are very hard to fine. I beleive Wes did have a couple. If you do go with the stick on make sure you buy the all chrome bezel because using a chrome/black one you can still see some of the black. I do have the stick on ones in stock if interested. Happy New Year! Tim

All the NOS ones I have seen has had silver edges I have never seen one with chrome. The stickers look pretty good considering the options you have.

WES, would you please post a picture of the NOS woodgrain bezel?

I've never seen one and it might be the last chance I'll ever have to see an NOS one.

I'd appreciate it!

My Cheyenne Super original Bezel is chrome trimmed.
Do any of you guys own Cheyenne Supers that have the original dash bezel, and it's silver painted trim?
So . . . . . . . . .
The question is. For the most correct restoration, would it be best to buy a NOS one with the silver painted trim, or use an aftermarket one with the chrome trim?
I'm just trying to learn here.
Has anyone had any luck with the aftermarket ones with the chrome trim? I have heard stories of the adhesive / wood peeling. Can anyone confirm this?

Darren

Any time that you are trying for a bone stock restoration, you want to use NOS wherever possible. The only thing that would be better would be to take a stock one and have it plated, but I am not sure whether they can or not with the wood grain in place. Someone else may be able to answer that for you. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

I was just thinking . . . . . . . .
I know! I know!
How come when I want a new bezel for my 67 all I can get my hands on is a chrome repro. They don't make repro's W/ the silver trim.
BUT. . . . . When I want a NOS woodgrain Super Bezel with the original Chrome (Like it should be) all you can get is Silver painted trim? (I'm trying to be funny)
But you got to admit! It's a wierd thing!

Darren

Seems wierd to me too.

As popular as Cheyenne conversions seem to be, why is no one making a correct woodgrain dash bezel? The aftermarket is making just about everything else. Go figure?

Clarification please - is the REAL NOS Bezel covered with a adhesive tape type wood grain???
Is the REAL NOS bumpy under the wood grain like the non-Super Bezel or is it smooth for adheision??
It almost seems to me that the Super Bezel and the Super aluminum cover for the golve box was covered with a simulated wood paint sceme verses an actual stick on woodgrain tape.
Also thought the GM NOS Super Bezel was availabe in chrome at first but as stock was sold off from GM, GM newer stock was Silver verses Chrome----. ?????Hummmmmm
