Silverado Model AD's
HAve seen multiple references to AD's being called 1500 Silverados. Fact or fantasy????

its probably just on facebook marketplace which doesnt have a category for the 3100 so people pick the only thing they can think of

Sounds plausible. Keep seeing it and folks are repeating it re-enforcing the misinformation.

Joedoe nailed it right on the head. FB Market place puts their own model numbers on a lot of vehicles. You might see a 32 Ford Aspire coupe advertised too.
A lot of sellers go on to explain exactly what the vehicle is in the first line of their add. That isn't say that a lot of these would be flippers trying to sell an AD that they just pulled out of someone's yard have an actual idea as what model it is though.
