VIN & Trim?
I need to know how to decode the VIN number on my truck. Specifically, does it indicate the trim level?
Thanks

Re: VIN & Trim?
You can try here
I'm sure the link holds up to GMC serial numbers. Trim level is on the SPID label on the glove box door

Re: VIN & Trim?
Trim level is not encoded in the VIN.

Re: VIN & Trim?
Where was the truck built?
If it was built in Canada (Oshawa) or in the US for Canadian consumption then GM of Canada would have the original build information. If it was built in the US - you are SOL. K
