Anyone running Vision Turbine wheels?

Looked all over the internet and can't find a square with these wheels on them. Anyone running these that would care to share a picture?

Re: Anyone running Vision Turbine wheels?

No backspace makes them look wimpy. I hope they make the proper dish wheel for a square body.

Supposedly the 17x8.5 version has 4.5" backspace....

Re: Anyone running Vision Turbine wheels?

That should look normal with 4.5" backspace. They might be growing on me. You will have to be the first to post pics of them.

Thoughts? The grey matches perfectly with original paint

Thanks! Yeah, I think I’m gonna run them. I have a 275/55/17 showing up tomorrow that I’ll mount and make sure it is the look I want. The offset looks to be perfect.

Re: Anyone running Vision Turbine wheels?

Thanks! I’m excited for this tire to get here tomorrow. Really hope it fits just right, with just a smidge of balloon and good sidewall height.

Re: Anyone running Vision Turbine wheels?

those look really cool!, kinda ? OG flavor... I hope the quality is a little better than the vision wheels I put on my tahoe about 3 years ago... the chrome coating on the center cap of 2 wheels is starting to peel off... arrgg. I do like the look of those though...nice

Re: Anyone running Vision Turbine wheels?

Well, I'm pretty excited about the fitment of the tire I chose. It is exactly the sidewall look and width I wanted! However, I'm not sold on the black walls....I don't know, but I just NEED my raised white letters! Unfortunately, no one makes a raised white letter street tire in 17" that I am aware of....

This tire is a hair shorter than the 255/70R15 it is replacing. There is tons of clearance and I am very happy with the fitment. Turning is good, it doesn't come close to hitting anything.

Now when I lower it, that probably will change. We'll cross that bridge when we get there.

Re: Anyone running Vision Turbine wheels?

Got the center cap stickers today. Although I think I am going to replace them with black background and gold bow tie.

Re: Anyone running Vision Turbine wheels?

Outlined white letter is going to be the only thing you can find I bet. I have 33's on my daily driver 06 Tahoe. It's 4wd so I run trail tires from Cooper. I wanted white letters as well. The outline while letters work though.

Good luck!

Re: Anyone running Vision Turbine wheels?

Well, problem solved! No one made a 17” white letter tire, so I made my own.

A lot of people may not like this, but I’m digging it: I had some raised rubber stickers made at tire sticker.com. Then I sanded off the Hankook and Ventus names on the tire. I used 80, then 120, then 220 so I could get a smooth finish. Then wiped it all down and applied the stickers.

I chose a generic 80’s tire for the name mostly to be different. But also, if anyone remembers my little brown 78 I used to have, the original owner gave me a lot of photos of the truck from when it was new and through the 80’s/90’s. One of those pictures from the 80’s, the little brown truck was sporting Grand Am radials and turbine wheels. I always loved the look.

Re: Anyone running Vision Turbine wheels?

I dig it. I'm actually a little ashamed I forgot tire stickers were an option. There's a number of cars and trucks in my area using them and they look great on the vehicles. Glad you're happy with them.
