Brake backing plate

1965 K10 Suburban. Rear differential is GM 12 bolt with 11 x 2" drum brakes, front is Dana 44 closed knuckle with 11 x 2" drum brakes. Can rear backing plates be used on the front? Mounting hole spacing/pattern and center opening size?

Re: Brake backing plate

Anyone know how far the shoe slides rise up from the backing plate on an unworn plate? Need to build mine up.
