clock quarts conversion
Back in the day I used to get my cars clocks converted over to a quart's movement and never worry about them again. Then later I could buy the movement and do it myself. Does anyone know of someone that can convert mine or sells the movement? 3rd time in my clock stopped working. I am to the point I rather pay then keep removing dash and cleaning.

They do fuel sending unit refurbishments too. Rather than deal with the strange behavior of aftermarket units I think I'd consider having these folks rehab the original unit.

Re: clock quarts conversion
Just make sure you have a quiet, safe space to work on it.
Maybe send the wife and kids and dogs out for a walk. K

Re: clock quarts conversion
UPDATE
Installed my quarts movement today. As with everything the first time I do a new process it takes a lot more time. I would still be working on it without a utube vidio. The instructions they send are not easy to follow. The key is the new movement has a different type gear setup and you have to use parts from your old one on the new one. such as gears and that makes it a little challenging. Now in saying that if I had to do another 20 minutes max once it was on my bench. |

Re: clock quarts conversion
I have always found that most old clocks just need a good lubricant. I have only seen maybe 10% of old clocks that do not work after using something like TriFlow lubricant. Just take the back off and add some lube to all moving points and let it run and that works for house or car clocks.
