Mystery Engine wire
Hey guys needed a little help, I was wondering if anyone knew what the red wire on the firewall goes to. My coil is plugged in and I don’t know where else it can go to, the engine runs so I’m stumped.

Re: Mystery Engine wire
Or possibly a power wire for a carb-mounted kickdown switch for a TH400 transmission.

Re: Mystery Engine wire
Perhaps the stop solenoid for the Q-Jet Carb? Which would be +12v as soon as you turn the key on (and stays on until turned off).

Re: Mystery Engine wire
Thanks guys, I’ll check to see if it has switch power if it does than probably correct about either electric choke or hei distributor at some point.
