Van tilt / floor shift question
I'm looking a going with a van tilt in my truck.
Just wondering though, if you can replace the section where the shifter is on the column if you have a shifter on the floor. I've seen many that have just removed the column shifter itself, but just wondered if it's possible to remove/replace that section so that it looks like the column belongs in a truck with 4 on the floor.

take a grinder and grind off the nub. then a little bondo and some paint, and you will never know it was there.

While I have not tried it yet, i'd bet you yould take the shifting collar off and replace it with one from a 4 speed non tilt truck.

I have heard it's kind of hard to take a tilt column apart and put it back together again. I have never tried it. Hopefully someone on here knows more about it. I have also thought about grinding and filling also. I would use Kitty Hair ( similar to bondo but it's reinforced with fiberglass strands) instead of Bondo. It sands out real good. A little flat black paint and you could never tell it was modified.

The bezel from a non tilt column will not fit as they are entirely different.
