LS3-Powered 1979 Chevrolet K10 Suburban Silverado 4×4

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...et-suburban-7/
Seller spent 42K to buy Suburban
Then spent 84K in parts.
And 297K (yes) on labor.

IDK? The labor on this build seems a bit crazy. Either the owner was a bit dim witted to keep paying this company or the invoices are a scam. Some parts seem a bit inflated but I would expect that from most places if not buying direct. That build is over 6 times the cost of what I will have into my truck. I used better parts (imo), though the labor is mostly on me.

Exclamation Re: LS3-Powered 1979 Chevrolet K10 Suburban Silverado 4×4

I really like this rig..but at $400k to build, this is unacceptable:

Every nook, cranny, and surface should be as perfect as humanly possible for the reported price of the build.

The positive is for a very long time most likely each buyer of this truck will pay less than each seller. LOL

Also, have any of you looked at the guys with the TV shows building cars sales section on their websites, most of those cars end up for sale with some insane prices like this so I guess some people never gets their cars back or the shows are fake.

Here is what it looked like before, 1979 Chevy Suburban. Looks like they painted it a darker yellow.

He should contact the bidder and accept the 91k. Surprised it went that high. Way more than it is worth IMO. Will be hard pressed to get any more than that.

Re: LS3-Powered 1979 Chevrolet K10 Suburban Silverado 4×4

That guy got taken to the cleaners by the shop that built it. I could see 150k, MAYBE 200k all in paying the shop to do all of that but 400K?? No way
