Progress Pics, paint job is done!
Here is my two tone med olive-dark olive paint job. We did the top on Saturday and the rest today (sun). It turned out pretty good.

By the way, the paint job was done at the official MotherTruckers paint booth. Thanks Ed.

That's going to be very, very slick! I'd never thought about a two-tone like that. I'm assuming you're going to put full trim on it, yes? I'm jealous!

We went with Acylic Enamel. a friend of mine did the paint and 90% of the restoration work. He likes enamel since it is easier to repair flaws in. I think it looks great. It was dry in these pics and shines like crazy.

shuttermut, these werre the original colors of my truck. It also was full trim from the factory. I have seen very few in these colors.

I don't like green trucks (I'm in the military so I see enough green trucks to last a lifetime) but I gotta admit that looks good.
I like that dark green/light green combo. MJ

Very, Very Nice. It's making me think more and more about staying with the med. olive on mine. Green is tough though, I'm like 1toncrewcab. 30 years with the military and olive green is the last thing you normally want around

I guess if I wore and drove green for 30 years, I'd be sick of it too. I wanted to keep this truck original looking. My second choice would have been 2004 Harley Davidson Smokey Gold.

It looks like your top color is what I used on my current project. I wasn't sure if I would like it when I started, but it was the orginal color. I'm liking it now.

When I got out of the Army in '78...I SWORE I'd never wear GREEN again. I looked thru my dresser drawers the other day....I have 11 JerZee's T-Shirts....7 of em are GREEN!!! The NOMEX coveralls I wear at work....are GREEN!!! My Living Room is GREEN....My CARPET is Green...My BASS BOAT is TEAL.....*roughly a form of GREEN*....Jason's 70 GMC is GREEN....which btw IF it were up to me....I'd DUPLICATE....cause I love it!!! Maybe my hate of green has ENDED???
GREAT LOOKIN TRUCK!!! Gives me somethin to shoot for with Jason...who...btw...GREEN is his FAVORITE color. Seems I remember that most of the GMC trucks from that era...that olive was the most prominent color. The '76 will be some sort of green....probably to match the boat...when IT gets done. I guess it's GREEN!!!....just wish it had NUMBERS on it....hehehe
