C50 power steering bracket

I’ve got a 1972 Chevy C50 with a Sb350 in it. All original. I need the bracket the PS tensioner bolts to. Mine is bent causing the pulley to be out of alignment.

Re: C50 power steering bracket

i'm not familiar with the bigger trucks but looking at your picture it looks like the bearing on the pulley is bad.

Good eye. You are correct. The bearing is shot. I thought that was the problem at first and replaced it already. It’s definitely the bracket.

i only know of one of those bigger trucks sitting around here but it has the 366 big block in it. i want the tach/vacuum cluster out of it but he won't budge on the price he wants for it-$200.00 and he doesn't know if everything works or not, i offered him $100.00 as is so i'll let him sit on it for a while and see if he changes his mind. yeah , i'm a cheap bast@rd

Re: C50 power steering bracket

I pulled a bracket off of a 366 thinking it would work. It doesn’t but the tensioner is the same. So I’ve got a spare. Good luck with the cluster.

we did the heads on this beast over 30 years ago as a winter time project at the shop where I still work-what a job getting those heavy SOBs out of the engine compartment. I tried getting that cluster way back then, one of these days maybe. good luck with your search for that bracket.
