Best turn signal switch 60-62?
My switch housing is broken and I can’t repair it. As I’m sure you guys know, 60-62 has the switch at the bottom of the column with a cable from the stalk activating it. Funky, but effective. I’ve read lotsa threads on it but can’t find source for a quality replacement. I found this on eBay:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/296025371208 Apparently most 59-62 Chevy vehicles used this switch, so I assume a quality replacement is available. Any leads? Does this eBay switch look good? Thanks! Ok I just found this: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/a...CABEgLY-_D_BwE From what I’ve read on here, AAW switches are better than the other replacements. $22 sounds a lot better than $95 for a NOS one. I think I’m going with this one. I’ll keep my OG switch in case I ever need to do contact transplant surgery .

The AAW switch is worth a try, but I’d hang onto the original. I think I had mine apart to clean the contacts at one point. There are good instructions on adjusting the wire rod between switch and lever somewhere on this site. Mine has been working well for several years.

Re: Best turn signal switch 60-62?
Thank bhap. Indeed I am saving it as one day I may be smart enough to repair it; the housing is broken around the bolt that guides the cable. I got the new one today ( about 23 hrs from ordering it to my door, yay Summit!) and this old truck now has functioning turn signals! I’ve fixed the park lamps, the taillights, the blower motor, dome light, dash lights and dimmer, fuel sender, and now it all works, even the turn signal indicators in the dash work. It’s still has the stock generator and it’s putting out north of 14V. I’m over the moon!
