Steering wheel interchange

Does anyone know for certain if you can interchange a 73-77 steering wheel onto a later model column, such as a 80 model? It doesn’t seem to be pushing down far enough.

Re: Steering wheel interchange

Not definitive but I put an 80's something Blazer wheel on my 75 and it fit fine. Be sure you get all the horn bits. Those vary from year to year but the little button contact seems to be consistent until GM started adding air bags.

Re: Steering wheel interchange

Steering wheels are interchangeable from 1960-1991.
