Who's Front bumper Brackets?
When I first got this truck back in 95 it had front and rear bumpers from who knows what, the front looks like from a square body but I'm not sure, at any rate my new front bumper wasnt sitting quite right so I took the brackets off and I don't know what these brackets are from but they don't look like 69 brackets.
Check out the distance the back bumper is sitting from the truck. ![]() I fixed the rear one but I don't remember what I did. The picture is a picture of a picture but that's the only one I've got. Bracket on the left came from the passenger side. |

So I tried to elongate the the bumper bracket hole in an attempt to push the bumper in a bit without much luck.
Well I tried anyway so I feel better. Then I decided to remove the kick panel vents to see if there was any debris built up that needed to be removed. Driver's side didn't have any so I went to put the diverter door back on... I had the brake pedal pushing on the back of my head while the e-brake housing was shoving me in the forehead while I was trying to get a flashlight in there to locate the tiny holes the pins go in...yes it was all horrible. ![]() Just opened the passenger vent in hopes of discovering nothing but of course it's full of mouse nest garbage, so I'll be removing that door tomorrow after I recover from the driver's side adventure. ![]() |

Here's one thread about the differences.

Re: Who's Front bumper Brackets?
Hey thanks for the reply Getter-Done, I had no idea how ridiculous the whole issue was.
I removed the passenger bracket completely and apparently all the brackets might be the wrong ones, and I'm thinking I'd wind up bending the bumper or cracking the chrome if I continue messing with it. Guess I'll have to return my Pebble Beach display invitation. |

Re: Who's Front bumper Brackets?
I suggest trying to find a forum member close to your location.
They may have a Bumper and the correct brackets. I posted that thread at lunch in a hurry just to provide info. If you search the front bumper brackets / More. ![]() There are several different brackets. ![]()

Re: Who's Front bumper Brackets?
Yea I have a new '69 bumper but I'm thinking the brackets are from that '73 bumper.
It just started to bother me recently and I might be the only one that cares so I'll probably just put the whole project on hold for now. Thanks again for the replies. ![]() |
