Classic Parts or LMC sheetmetal

I will be getting some Sheetmetal for a bed 68 short. I was planning on trying to save on shipping and going to Kansas City to get it. Both Classic Parts and LMC have places there. Which place is better? Thanks
Ron

Re: Classic Parts or LMC sheetmetal

If I'm not mistaken, I think the panels are all made at the same place overseas. I posted a video about a year ago (I think) where the restoration stuff is made.

Re: Classic Parts or LMC sheetmetal

They should state who makes the parts on their sites.
So either place should be the same?
Do you have a link for your video?
Thanks

Thumbs up Re: Classic Parts or LMC sheetmetal

Some of the metal I have purchased from LMC has been Key Parts brand, Woodall, and AMD. I have had some of the same fitment issues everyone has with these parts, but they worked out OK in the end.

Classic Parts without a doubt. They talk trucks and can answer any questions you may have. LMC can't answer any questions, period.

Just my 2¢ worth.....

Re: Classic Parts or LMC sheetmetal

My general experience has been that most LMC stuff is garbage. Love the exploded view on the website and use it often...but nearly everything I've ever bought has been junk that I had to make work or give up on and replace.

It was the same when they also owned Victoria British; they once sent me a set of MGB pushrods that looked like rebar they were so rough.

There's a reason that a) they don't have reviews on their site, and b) their standard tech support answer is "send it back"...
