steering issue
I have a 65 front x member on my 62 that was installed when I bought the truck. I have 2" lowering springs ant 2" drop spindles. I had the truck aliened, and it feels like when turning the truck wants to dart in that direction. I went back and measured everything on the front end and noticed the pitman arm is 5" and the idler arm is 6". I have found a 5" idler arm from Moog and was wondering if this would correct the problem. Has anyone else has had this issue and how did you solve it. I am trying not to throw too many parts at this and cause a larger problem.

Re: steering issue
Arm length alone may not address the problem. I would think that mounting locations matter as much as length. To get a definite answer, you may need to establish a centerline and a perpendicular to see where pivot points are relative to each other. Take some measurements and get your protractor out.. Who said we'd never use geometry again?!?

Re: steering issue
Does it do it on full lock going slow or any time a road speed?

Re: steering issue
It’s not what I was thinking. I just did a 78 front swap in my 62. If I remember right I had both measurements of the Pittman and idler arm the same distance.
