Hooked mine up to port on intake in front of distributer. You just need to get right fitting. most "good" part store should have them.

The fitting in front of the distributor on the intake manifold which has 2 ends sticking out of the it goes to the modulator valve and the A/C and the Vacuum line coming out of the back of the Quadrajet is hooked to the brake booster. If I put on an edelbrock carb. where do I run the vacuum for the brake booster? Does the edelbrock carb. have a place for a vacuum line on the back of it or somewhere on it where I can hook it up to the brake booster? Thank you. Dave

The brake vacuum comes from the fitting on the back of the carb. The Tranny vac comes from the fitting in the intake manifold just behind the carb, and the front left fitting as you look from the front of the truck is the ported vac for the dist., the middle port is for the PCV Valve, and the right fitting is either plugged or full manifold vac. I may have the left and right fitting criss-crossed, but I am sure someone will correct me if I do. The carb came with a fitting for the brake vac to fit the existing pipe/vac line from the booster to the carb. Do it right, not just so it will WORK.
