Need Distributer Guidance
I have a 69 C10 with a 350 that I found out has an MSD setup.
I'm trying to stay original with except for a few upgrades. Questions>>>>>>> If I go with say a 76 or later HEI Distributor so I won't have to deal with points, does anything else have to be changed? Will it affect the wiring harness in any other way? Will anything else have to be changed out? What are most of you guys doing.....staying with points or other? |

You will need to replace the resistor wire with a wire that will supply a full 12 volts.

and am sure you will need to have the HEI unit 'recurved" for the proper centrifugal advance for the engine that the HEI is installed. There is considerable difference in the advance in later HEI units as compared to the 69-72 series trucks
