need info on K5

Just brought in a rolling frame. It is supposed to be a 72 K5.
Just wanting to verify some things.
Glovebox said 1HO510 3:73 rear. PITT ?
Is this a p-trac?
It is also disc brake and 6 lug with leaf springs.
Just trying to find out what all is there.

Posi Tracton if I'm not mistaken. I took my rearend apart and it's just four sets of springs sandwiched between two diskes that apply pressure to the side spyder gears. I've been told its similar to the old "lincoln Lockers", but it's effective. I assume the disks are in the front and drum in rear?

Yes, disc front and drum rear.
It is about 6 degrees out and warmer in here. So I will ask questions now from the warmth of my chair and check it out on a warmer day.
Has steering box, front sway bar, 4 very nice 31-10.50-15 tires, steering stabilizer and little more.
Going to see what I can use and unload the rest. Very nice frame but I do not think it is a 72. The guy thought it was a 79 with all the 72 stuff under it.
The double wall top was next to it and the last of the Blazer tub was there. Pretty fair buckets. No AC,radio or much else. Just the glovebox door.

Not sure what the pitt stands for , but the H05 option was athe 373 gears.

You gotta see a G80 option for posi.

'69 - '72 4 wheel drive Blazers did not come with a sway bar. Neither did any other GM 4X4 until '73.

Guess I was thinking of something else on the sway bars. Thought I have seen some. And my GM book shows #6274060 as Ser 10-30, Blazer. Must be 2wd only then. That would confirm that this is a later frame. But it all fits so nicely. I think I will see if it will fit my 4X4.

Kevin, Rob and Wes told me no sway bars on our years. Wes can tell you what you have to do to make it fit right, sound like a good purchase, not much snow here yet.
