cheap coil swap
Hey guys, I have a 3/4 ton truck with 4 old bouncy coils. I was wondering if I could find a newer 1/2 ton and use its coils, and improve my ride, and maybe even drop down an inch?? I'm workin on a college budget here, so new drop coils are outta the question. Is there any kind of truck that would have coils that would work good? I guess I could also cut a coil outta the front, that is my second option. Any ideas?????
thanks

I had a 62 chevy truck that had stiff old springs in the rear and it drove like a truck!! Was high in the back too! I went to Pick~n~Pull and found a mid 70s GM car, (Olds Cutlass I think) with coils and for 10 bucks had a Great riding truck that was lowered real nice too!
Good Luck! 70short/step |
