still looking for a gas cap
IM needing a painted gas cap in great condition for my 72 long horn. There are 2 sizes of caps, IM needing the larger diameter with the vent hole.
Hard to find these little guys. Yes, I know I can buy the chrome ones at the parts store. I have one now to get me buy till I locate a painted one. keep an eye out if you would please.. than

I think that I have what you need. It is a blue, vented cap that fits the 72 gas tanks. It needs to be repainted but it is in good shape. I can post a pic if you like.

hey that sure looks like it. can you messure the diameter of the part that goes in the next? like i said there is a large and a small version. one for the aux tank, and one for the standard behind the seat tank.

Just a question I had a 72 longhorn I got from orginial owner and it had a chrome gas cap on it did they come with chrome also or just painted
