Lower Control Arm Question???
I'm under my truck today and notice that the lower control arm balljoints are tack welded in. I'm thinking that this is not the safest thing in the world.
Anyone have suggestions on how to repair. 1. Buy another set of lowers. 2. Grind off welds and find oversized ball joint. (Are these available, if so where?) 3. Leave as is. (Probably not) Any suggestions would be appreciated.

they do make oversized ball joints but i think that since the weight of the truck is always on them so they shouldnt go anywhere, unless your into jumping terraces or something. they are only pressed in and the last set the put in might have gone in pretty easy, so they tacked it in.

I guess I should have posted this. The ball joints are shot. I'm wondering if it will be possible to re-use the arms if I grind off the welds? Thanks.
