Wanting to sell '67 SWB, price?

I am wanting to sell my '67 SWB, but I don't have any idea what I should ask for. The tranny finally gave out and I don't have the time or will to mess with it anymore. I was hoping someone could give me some advice. It is a 2WD with a '78 front crossmember and rear end so it's five lug all around with power front discs and power steering. It has a '74/75 454 with edelbrock intake and holley carb. The TH400 auto that just gave out is out of a '69 vette. Bucket seats from an '86 LeBaron are inside with a beat up old B&M shifter. Overall, it is in poor condition. The engine still runs good, the body is pretty good. It would be a great truck to start a project. Any Ideas?

Is it a fleetside or stepside? I have a friend in Westminster that might want to look at it.

It's a fleetside, shortbed. My Dad and I built it in 1990 and it was the baddest thing on the road! My other alternative to selling it is finding some way to get it to Walla Walla, Washington. My Dad lives there and is willing to drop a TPI engine and new tranny in it. I'm torn right now between selling it and fixing it. I don't see any way I will ever have enough money to make it as nice as I would like it. Right now, it looks rough. It needs/deserves a total restoration. It was originally a 6 cylinder with three speed on the column. If anyone has any ideas on how to ship it to Washington, I wouldn't mind the advice. Thanks.

Thumbs up

Fix it!! If you don't some day you will wish you had it back. Just the the fact that your dad built it will make it a lifelong treasure to you someday. Take it from an "old trucker"

I say fix it also. I have had quite a few of these trucks that I built myself and to this day I kick myself in the @$$ for getting rid of them. I never actually got to build a truck with my dad but if I did that would give me more reason to keep it forever. If you have other transportation and dont need the money right away I would keep it and fix it up. If a person has time and patience you can find parts very reasonable and do quite a bit of the work yourself. Sorry for rambling just my .02 worth.

I know, I know! My Dad and I spent the summer after I graduated (Oh God, 14 years ago!) building it. I built the tranny and the carb and he did the rest. I lost my license THREE times with that thing in a period of two years. The third was for three years! The only thing that has ever blown my doors off was a 92 BMW with a V12 on I-90 in Idaho. I even raced a cop once and beat him. I have alot of fond memories with that truck. I guess I really don't want to get rid of it. But it breaks my heart to see it sitting there motionless and falling apart. My wife and I just bought our first home and funds will be very tight for a while. I f any one knows of a way to get it to Washington without costing an arm and a leg please tell me!

Hey "bow-tie-bandit" my Mom and Sister live in Spokane on the South Hill and out in Deer Park. That's where I grew up, mostly. At last count, my Dad had about twenty 67-68 trucks and all kinds of other neat stuff.

You wouldn't happen to have any pics you could post of the truck do you? Where abouts in Denver are you. I know someone that might be interested.
