I'm not sure about the carbon fiber... I bought it and had it installed by Pyle Brothers in Baytown. They are 1 of the 2 Eaton authorized Dealers/Installers in Texas. Beauty of it all, I got a smoking deal on it.

I paid 399.00 for the unit and 100.00 for installation... bearings, seals and taxes came to 553.00 they had originally quoted me 175.00 for the install. it only took him an hour and 45 minutes...

We just got a eaton posi lock, with new bearings, shims, etc. whole thing cost like 411.00 shipped to my door, then only $100 dollars to put it in, seems nice to have two wheel fire, rather than one wheel peel. We also have 4.33 gears, so we're extremely happy with it.

I was more after the fact that I have someone in person I can go b!tch at if I ever have a problem. They are a very reputable shop so I don't mind the extra couple of bucks.

Thanks,
And it's pretty easy. Yeah My girlfirend's grand father was Clay Smith. But I have always liked their logo even before I met her. I used to have it as my avatar |

Guess I got a super smoking deal - I got the eaton with the steel clutches installed in the truck for 300 total.
Posi is awesome - even though I still cant hook up worth a damn with the blower in the truck. |

those eaton posis are nice but are a b!tch to install. a couple weeks ago i helped my shop teacher install on on his camero and getting it down to .008 of an inch is hard as hell when you have to adjust using the shims on the sides of the bearings. i think after that i will go with a locher that replaces the spider gears in my existing diff.
