Hard to fix door hinges??

How hard is it to fix worn-out door hinges?

I'm thinking of buying a new set of door hinges, remove the doors and the old hinges and then reinstall the new ones.

I've been looking at the current hinges and it seems like it will be a pain to get in between just to get to them. My service manual only states: "Loosen the fender then remove the door and the hinges"

I would really appreciate feedback from your experience in this area.

I did the pins and bushings too in mine and had only one problem........couldn't restake the new pins.
A dab or two of metal with a welding machine fixed it.

I Just replaced the hinge pins and bushings last night. Not too difficult. I had to use a press to push the new pin in and couldn't stake the bottoms. If you don't have a helper to hold the door for you, i found that an engine host with a nylon strap through the window opening works great. Don't need to remove the fender....

secret I found for reinstalling the pins when the holes are worn and not perfectly round anymore. . The new bushing will shape to the out of round hole(pin wont fit). Take a drill with the right size drill bit. drill hole in the new bushings.
