3/4 ton hubcap ?

I just bought a set of these hubcaps for my 71 K20, but they are a set of rears. I was wondering if a guy could cut the front caps to clear my front hubs?

Also, what would be the best way to accomplish this.

Thanks
David

Also, i found a small resource for these, pm me if you have been looking for them for a while.

The best thing is to try and find the correct front caps with holes in them if possible. Maybe you have already tried to find some and couldn't ? I know they can be hard to find the correct front ones.

Do you want to sell two from the set you bought?
If so, send me a PM with a price.

if for whatever reason you cannot find the correct hubcaps with the hub cutout, try and find a set of the 73 up hubcaps with the yellow bowtie. these seem to be much more common, so your conscience wouln't bother you after cutting them!

73-77 or so. They will look identical, except yellow bowties. The FE cutouts will look like your pic, with a hole

There is a later style that is completely different in appearance

None I've ever seen. The (few) I've seen are identical with the exception of the bowtie color. This is true for 1/2 and 3/4 ton. The later style cap that does not match the 69-72 is this and it may be brushed.

Where did you get these hub caps? I can't seem to find it anymore but I once had a link to a site that sold reproduction Hub Caps.

If I'm not mistaken but 73-77 Front (open Hub) Caps are the same as 69-72 Front Caps...I guess what I'm saying is if you bought them from a similar site if they were all out of the 67-72 vintage you could just order a front set of 73-77's?

If this was a private deal...well none of the above applies

Griesel72 is right. When he told me yesterday the place had a set I almost had a heart attack. It all depends when you call. I spoke to the guy yesterday and was delighted to find out he had a set of the painted ones - they were his last set.

I told him they're going on a restored truck and needed to be extremely nice. I've been calling this place for a long time now and never had any luck.

I have a set of the chrome caps in really nice condition, but I also wanted a nice set of the painted ones as well.
