Re: How much HP?

kyle the shift kit has no effect on engine hp just the firmness of the shifts if i was gonna take a guess with your setup and not knowing your cam specs i would say around 300 hp maybe a little less

Re: How much HP?

NO CYLINDER HEADS?? WELL THATS DIFFERENT. YOU'RE MOTOR WILL PUT OUT NO, NONE ,ZIP,ZERO, NADA HORSEPOWER WITHOUT HEADS. SERIOUSLY ... EVEN WITH ALL BRAND NEW PARTS IT'S JUST A GUESS OR ESTIMATE. THE ONLY WAY TO SAY FOR SURE IS TO PUT IT ON A DYNO. NOT A COMPUTER PROGRAM... AN ACTUAL REAR WHEEL DYNAMOMETER. SHOOT IF YOU'RE GONNA GUESS, YOU MIGHT AS WELL GUESS ON THE HIGH SIDE & TELL EVERYONE IT'S PUSHING 550 HORSE WITH 650 FT'LBS OF TORQUE. IT TAKES CUBIC DOLLARS TO GET A BUNCH OF H/P OUT OF ONE OF THESE 350s . LET ME REPHRASE THAT... IT'S FAIRLY INEXPENSIVE TO GET 300 H/P BUT FROM THERE ON IT GETS EXPENSIVE. IF A TRUCK WAS BORN 35 YEARS AGO WITH 225 HP. AFTER 220,000 MILES & 35 YEARS IT WOULD BE LUCKY TO HAVE 1/2 THAT. IT'S HARD TO GET PEOPLE TO UNDERSTAND THAT. NO-ONE UNDERESTIMATES THIER OWN HORSEPOWER OR GAS MILLIAGE. JOHN
