Pricing

I came across a 69 gmc swb down the strew from me today for sale and snapped a few pics. Why does it seem no matter how much rust they have, running or not, they sell for $2,500 give or take?

Re: Pricing

I think its funny I found my original invoice for my truck It sold for $2,543 in 1970 when I bought my truck in 2011 I got it for $2,500. It only depreciated 43 bucks haha.

That's funny, except for with inflation and such, a truck in 1970 that sold for $2,500 was more like $15,000 in today's money. What's really disturbing, is that the cheapest new Chevy truck today starts at $24,000.

Re: Pricing

My dad once told me, it's only worth as much as someone is willing to pay. I'd be surprised if he gets close to 2500 for it, but you never know.

Yup it had lost if rust, covered with primer. Rockers gone too. Drip rail seemed alright. But not worthy of the asking price in my opinion. It just seems like I always find the ones listed for 25 hundred

Re: Pricing

I think most people think of a truck as a utility vehicle and 2500 bucks seems like reasonable price for a running driving truck you can use for going to the dump and such. Plus you gotta start somewhere with price and going up is never an option =)

Re: Pricing

$2500 eh? I'm hard pressed to find them for less than $6k here. I decided to go with a long bed for $800 instead.

I couldn't justify paying more for less truck.

Re: Pricing

I meant to type a 'LOT OF' rust, not a 'LOST IF' rust, from last post
