Re: windshield and rear window stainless trim

Rubber goes on the glass first, then install the trim. The whole assembly is then installed in the truck. I recommend OEM windshield trim in the 67-70 version, as it "hooks" into the gasket and will stay seated. I believe all rear glass 67-72 uses the deep version trim.

Re: windshield and rear window stainless trim

X2 on precisions youtube video. Ive had mine in and out twice with no problems. Its easy as long as you use OEM trim and a precision gasket. Stay away from re-pop trim on the windshield. Might be ok for rear window...

Re: windshield and rear window stainless trim

Where do u buy OEM windshield trim?? Dealerships can't get it. Auto wreckers around here only have cars 10 years and newer. Pick n pull has nothing older than 73-87. I am in Canada. Any ideas? I need trim so I can get a new windshield put in.

Re: windshield and rear window stainless trim

Post a WTB ad on the parts forum and see if anyone will ship it. It's easy to find in junkyards in some areas.

Re: windshield and rear window stainless trim

I have a nice set, front and back out of a 72 but I bet it would be expensive to ship due to size of box required
