Angry blue smoke

Hey guys,,after about a year,of sitting,,i put my 72 back on the road,,the Sucker smokes quite a bit,,has the 307 V8,,Im thinking of putting a 250 in it,,which is cheaper,,fixing the 307 or putting in a 250,,Thx Guys,,,Dave

My truck sat since '96 and it smoked a lot when we ran it the first few times, but now it doesn't. The 350 that my Granddad put in it probably has over 300K miles, and you can hear it. It's got a wrist pin knock.........not good. It's kinda weird that mine doesn't smoke much even though it sat longer than yours did. The engine in yours just might need a teardown and rebuild.
