I forgot someone help...please
Put a 1 wire altenator on the 68 today. What do i need to do now? Was there some wires near the external voltage regulator that i am supposed to cut? Been a while since i did the 70 and can't remember. Red charge light on dash is on.....

Shoot, can't remember right off my head. You'll have to pull up the electrical FAQ. There's a jumper for the regulator connector you need to fab up so the light stays off.

Completly disconnect and remove the regulator. You could also just remove the light from the "charge" indicator.

Thought i still have to cut the wires and run the jumper though or just remove the bulb?

The whole selling point of a 1 wire alternator is that it uses only 1 wire - so it appeals to people who see themselves as being wiring challenged. However, it has no provision for telling the indicator light that it is charging. You don't have to cut or splice any wires. First, try unplugging the regulator connector. If that doesn't do it, remove the bulb.

The little jumper plug you can buy, connects the outer 2 wires together, and the inner 2 wires together.
