Power Booster install help!

Today i bought a power booster and master off an 85 chevy truck. do i need a prop valve or proportioning valve. I have a 65 truck with Disc/Drum. I know about the rod shorting. thanks guys!

Yes you need the valve, it balances the system and keeps the rear brakes from locking up. The easiest approach is just use the combination valve that was on the truck that donated the booster. An aftermarket proportioning valve will also work, but then you need to dial it in yourself.

You can use any proportioning valve from the '73-'87 trucks. You can also use some if not all of the original brake lines. Tx Firefighter used all OEM lines on his '63 disc conversions.
