Looks like it has been sitting a while, so the suspension stuff will probably have to be rebuilt, but ya never know. i would buy it for 400 bucks.

Re: found a 1972 gmc sierra grande...$400, is it a good buy
It's a longbed. Depending on condition of the rest of the truck it could be parted or fixed and driven. Its definitely worth $400 in parts, the engine/transmission is worth what hes asking for it. If it was closer I'd be offerin to buy it if you didnt.

Re: found a 1972 gmc sierra grande...$400, is it a good buy
If you don't quit sleeping on it someone else is going to buy it.
I am willing to bet that after you use all of the suspension pieces, you will be able to sell off the extra parts and MAKE MONEY on the deal.

Re: found a 1972 gmc sierra grande...$400, is it a good buy
I would buy it if I had the money, Im kinda a impulsive spender and if I only had $350 I would grab the change jar hed to the bank for the rest and get the truck. I think these guys are right you could get your money back in parts and have the stuff ya need. Nice find.

It's not a Sierra Grande, but still worth $400. Are you awake yet?

Re: found a 1972 gmc sierra grande...$400, is it a good buy
Is the 72 a rear leaf spring truck, and your 68 a rear coil spring truck? if yes to both, then no, you will need to modify the 72 rear end by welding on perches so that it will fit onto the 68 trailing arms.
Worth $400 in parts in my opinion. |
