Quick Stops Cause Flooding - Holley Carb??
I have a Holley 4160 (600cfm) carb. And don't even respond if you're just going to bad-mouth Holleys.
![]() The last couple weeks I have noticed that if I have to stop short, the carb seems to be flooding. I tested it yesterday in a parking lot and stopped real quick and it died! Anybody seen this happen or know of possible causes? Logically, it sounds like a float issue, but I'm not sure. I've never gotten into a Holley before so I need some help on this one. Thanks,

Thanks Rip! I fully expect to get some replies from the Holley haters about how I need to buy another carb.
![]() Anyone else have any suggestions?

Suggestion
Sounds like you have a bad float. Or Needle and seat assembly. If not, there are some tricks the roundy round racers use for this very problem, I think they are called slosh tubes. Have you tried contacting Holley's Tech and Helpline Dept.? They are real good help. They helped me out when I had a problem dialing one in.
