Hook up choke on QuadraJet - need help

I'm working to get my 78 GMC K15 running and need some help with the choke. I've got a rebuilt M4MC Rochester QuadraJet sitting on an Edlebrock 2101 Performer intake. I've spent a good bit of time looking into this, but still have no clear answer on what my options are to hook up this choke.

Best I can tell, this choke is intended to be hooked up through a choke stove in the intake manifold. I don't have a choke stove, and I'm not certain that plate below the choke on the manifold is intended to accomodate a choke stove. The instructions that came with the intake say nothing about it.

I'm using an AAW wiring harness, which does have a choke wire that has voltage with the key on. I've read of folks that swap an electric choke into the same housing as I've got here, but I've also read that an electric choke should be wired through an oil pressure switch that my truck doesn't have. I've just got the single terminal/plug oil sensor.

I suppose that a manual choke kit is an option, but looking for suggestions on how to make this automatic choke operable. Thanks in advance...

That's a hot air choke. Like in this link.

I'm not sure if Your intake has a place for the heat element that sits inside like in the link. Pull off the little mount to check.
Otherwise You'll need to convert to an electric choke that replaces that black cap.
No problem running one that's not tied in with the oil pressure switch.

Re: Hook up choke on QuadraJet - need help

Thanks geezer. Yeah, my researched showed that I needed something like this picture to hook up as a hot-air choke, but I don't have these parts. This example is from ebay for $110 and would rather not spend that, particularly not knowing if it would work with my intake.

As far as converting to electric choke, do you know a specific year range that would work? My parts store guys have proven that they can't help with this.

Thanks!

Sorry, pic of GM (Corvette in this case) choke stove here. All 3 parts are necessary I believe.

You can make a hot air tube from 1/4" copper tubing and coil it next to the exhaust manifold or header if you do not want to use the OEM style like in your picture. What you have pictured will work with your intake.
