Re: Stepside Tail lights in Fender?
Ford teardrops. Cadi tail lights. 40 ford tailights. 62-4 impala lights. Could always graft the Fleetside lights in somehow. Just google "Old (insert car manufacturer here) tailights. Alot of cool ideas pop up.

I bought her with these. They're the international lenses and frustrating that they're $75 a piece for the lense. I'd just assume go with a pair of 30s style motorcycle tails.

Re: Stepside Tail lights in Fender?
In the end, it's best to leave the fenders unmolested and figure out a better way. Lots of great ideas over the years look like a ruined fender today

Re: Stepside Tail lights in Fender?
As long as there is metal on earth and welding machines available it can always be repaired if I don't like the results.... I personally think when done right they look best in fenders. i hate the corvette lights in Rollpans or any lights in the roll pan or bumper (I have seen one or two I liked) and I like the look of caddy or LED in the stake pockets. BUT when executed right the fender looks the best!
Anybody with more pictures? |

Re: Stepside Tail lights in Fender?
The only issue I have with them is that you have to push them far out to the edge of the fender to get real visibility, meaning the standard size circle light is too large and will be partially covered from behind by the stake support, that ruins the look for me. Most of those trucks look really cool in the 3/4 shot, but I wonder how much gets covered by the support stake when looking at them from behind?
The coolest looking one's I've seen were the 60's caddy bullet style lights. Sorry, no pics, just remember seeing it and thinking it was awesome. I've also seen 62/63/64? (bad with Impalas) circular rear trunk lights frenched in that looked cool too. Found pic, they were '64, they were turned upside down and closely matched the angle of the fender (one used per fender). I had also thought about sectioning an half an inch to an inch out of the stake pockets and tying back in to the taper at the top front and rear to match to make the fenders and taillights more visible.
