Good Combination of Power and Efficiency?
I own a 1967 long-bed with a the straight six and four on the floor. I finally have enough money for a swap. I am looking for a small block V-8 and transmission combination that can give me some fun without killing me at the pump. Advice?

Re: Good Combination of Power and Efficiency?
If you have the time and money, i would look into a 5.3 LS and 4l60e swap. Maybe even a 4.8 as they are a little cheaper and still make decent power.

Re: Good Combination of Power and Efficiency?
Yep. 4.8 or 5.3 if you can swing it. So smooth and plenty of power.
