I'm running an Edelbrock 1406 with an electric choke that isnt hooked up. Is it possible to hook up the choke to work manually instead of electric?

not from what ive read. you have to either have the electric one or you get the manual one cant have both from one carb. i took mine off all together lol

look into the Manual set up for the 1400 ser. Ed. carbs.
probly just unbolt the electric and bolt up the manual set up
The OEM choke cable is short so plan on getting a aftermarket.

For $22, Here's a divorced (no cable) choke kit. It adapts to a Performer manifold and carb.

Actually it allows you to use a Q-Jet divorced choke carb on a Performer Manifold.

Yes it is possible, why do you not want to use the electric choke?

Alright, here's the deal, you know how to adjust the choke, right? Loosen the three screws around that plastic housing, and turn the black case to adjust the cold position of your choke. When your truck is cold, loosen those 3 screws, and turn that housing until the spring engages to the point that the choke is ALL the way open, tighten screws. Game over, put your wire to it and give it power, and ground the other side, and it won't open any more than that, because you have it all the way open when it's cold, so it won't open when its hot. That'll save you some cash too. Justin

Ha, oops, I guess you still want a choke,huh? Well, I guess mine won't work if you want an actual choke, but if you live where it's warm, you don't need one anyway. Justin
