Rear Disc Brakes
I KNOW I SHOULD JUST GET THE FULL KIT SOLD IN ALL THE TRUCK MAGS.
BUT I ALL WAYS DO THING THE HARD WAY. I GOT THE REAR CALAPER MOUNTING BRAKET WITH A 80'S MODEL S-10 FT CALAPER BUT A CAN'T FINDE A ROTOR TO GO WITH THIS SEAT UP. WHAT THA ---- AM I DOING WRONG I'VE GOT AFTER MARKET AXELS FOR MY 69 C/10 TO COVERT IT FROM 6 LUG TO 5 ON 4 3/4 LUG PATTERN I'VE TRYED 85 FWB 1/2 TON FT ROTORS,1980 TRANS AM REAR ROTORS S-10 FWD FT ROTORS. NONE FIT MY AXEL FACING IS 6 1/2" IN DIAMATER WICH IS TO BIG TO LET THE ROTORS SLIDE OVER. I DON'T MINDE REDRILLING THE LUG BUT I CAN'T EVEN GET TO THAT POINT. ANY TIPS? THANKS

I put on ford discs. Actually Mercury Versaille 1979 Wootdog

wootdog... how much an increase in stopping did yuou get from adding rear disk? any at all? |

that sound like my kit,use a front rotor off of a 88 fullsize chevy truck,only redrill the rotor,you might also have to cut the center out a little,you will probably have 1 hole overlapping,but that shouldn't be a problem,good luck
