??s about '78 stepside 454.

I usually hang on the 69-72 blazer board, but I'm venturing out tonight.
My questions are if anyone here has a '78 stepside w/ the 454, price, production numbers, any other info.
Why. When I was 8-10 years old, my Dad had one. Red w/white top. gold painted trim near front, door handles, around the rear fenders. Wood bed, with a rool bar. It had the cab lights, and duel gas tanks. It was a ton chassis, but not a 4x4. It was sweet and the fastest truck I've ever rode in. I'm almost certain it was like the truck in the Burt Reynolds "classic" Hooper
He sold it to my cousin who promptly collided with the TOPS of several trees, maybe 20'-25' in the air. He came out okay, but I was a little p'ed and only 10 years old. I was hoping for that to be my truck one day. Looking back, If I had that truck in high school, I would not be here today.
Thanks for my nostalgic moment.
