MY 72 Short Build

Hey everyone i have a 1972 Short bed, it has a 94 stepbed on it right now.. I've had this truck for some time now , i just have never finished it.. I have a 96 Lt1 and a 4l60e tranny in it. I have buckets from a 99 p/u that i did some time ago in leather from Katskin. I have 2.5" drop spindels on the front and some rear coils. But i want to go with air ride. What is everyone's opinion on ART's strongarm suspnsion? I think i'm going to go with the complete rear with the bags not the bags over shocks. and the front uppers and lowers with bags. I also want rear disks. I have heard people talk about ccp's conversion and the impala ss onversion.. what does people think of each of these? Tday i pulled the front clip and the bed off. I started sanding off the frame and am thinking about using the POR 15. Has anyone used this? Can you just spray it on or is it brushed? Does it ahve a hardner? Thanks alot for the info..

Mike

Re: MY 72 Short Build

The website says that most people brush it on, but that you can spray it if you want to. I didn't see anything about hardner, though. Lots of guys on here have used this stuff. Eastwood also makes a quality product. Can't really help you with the air ride questions, but there's lots of guys on here that are suspension geniuses. Try posting your air ride question in the suspension forum and you'll get some good answers. to the board, and post some pics of your ride when you get a chance.
