1967 C20 Questions (Overall Length & Towing!)

I was wondering what the length, from bumper to bumper that a 67 C20 is? Also, would my 07 RCSB 5.3 C1500 be able to haul this truck with a 16ft trailer over 150miles?

Re: 1967 C20 Questions (Overall Length & Towing!)

The C20 should be sporting about 18' from nose to tail,(depending on the style of bumpers and thinkness of frame it has). The 1/8" thick frame,(C10, and some C15), may have shown a slightly shorter wheel base and bumper mounts.
The C20s mostly had the 3/16",(not all), and the heavier bumper mounts,(again, not all). My C20s both had the 127" wheel base,(center of axles).

The 1500 should be able to pull the load, it depends on the condition, up-keep, tranny, size of radiator per outside temps, HP from the engine to the road of the truck, etc, condition/type of the trailer/car-hauler, and road conditions of the area you will be pulling in. Even the wind can mess with ya and the truck.

Just take it easy and watch the gauges close. Be safe.

IHTH

The truck hauling the C20 is a _brand new_ 1500 with 3500miles on it. Has 361rwhp and 397rwtq (a few mods done to the truck). Should be straight highway hauling. It's going to be cold as snot outside when I go to get the C20. It's 22* right now and isnt expected to get any warmer. Atleast the truck has a factory tranny temp gauge. I'm sure if I toast something. I can have GM fix it on the 100k warranty.
