KS Rare NOS 1970-72 Pickup Hand Rail Unit - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

This is a new old stock hand rail unit for 1970-72 pickup boxes. I just removed them from the packaging for the for the first time today.
Both rails are in are in very nice condition with one small ding(pictured).
This unit was made for long beds and short beds but is missing 2 of the chrome stands, the 10 lock washers and 10 nuts.

Overall, everything to install them on a short bed is included except for the 8 lock washers and 8 nuts. If you wanted to install them on a long bed you would need to locate 2 of the chrome stands and need 10 lock washers and 10 nuts.

Very neat item and I have never seen it before. The stands look very similar to 68-76 corvette luggage rack stands.

I'll PM it to you. A few questions. Do you have to cut the larger pieces down for a short bed? Also if you do will the dent be in the excess cut off?

PM replied. Yes you have to cut the rails down for a short bed. I will have to look at them again but for now I will say the dent will not be cut off.

Okay, just looked at it and the ding will not be cut off. It is around 23" in and you are supposed to cut off 22".
