Checking in...
Just thought I'd say hi to some familiar faces. Many here may recognize me from another spot on the Web. I finally figured I'd join in here, too. I've missed hearing from some of ya. Lots of knowledge here...
Kevin

Welcome Kev!
I haven't been to CT in quite some time. I find the member base here is much more relaxed and more fun...I am sure you will like it! How is the traffic over there anyways? -Jeff |

Well, the truck board isn't quite the same. But, I still like it. I actually spend more time talking to folks outside the truck forum. It's been neat meeting CT folks up at Carlisle the last 2 years. So, I like to keep up with them.
All the truck gurus came over here, so I decided to finally tag along... :p My other confession is that I was bitten by the Jeep bug last year. Something to do with turning 30 and buying my "early mid-life crisis-mobile". I love it to death-- a '98 Wrangler. Not many solid axle, glass-headlight throwback 4x4s made anymore... So, I've been into Jeepin', too. I still drive my truck and she continues to just keep going and going and going... In fact, I'm taking it down to Va. Beach tomorrow. My 83-yr. old grandmother is getting married on Sat.! Maybe there's hope for me yet... It's also been a busy year with getting my Professional Engineer license and keeping up with my Coast Guard duties. Rewarding, yes, but sometimes hectic. Fortunately, I made it through Isabel OK. A bunch of folks here didn't. On the to-do list for my Sub: -Stage 8 locking bolts on the exhaust manifolds. -Repaint the front suspension. -2 dime-sized rust spots- 1 on top left tailgate and 1 at the bottom of the right quarter panel just behind the wheelwell. -Someday, I'll drop the rear bumper and clean up the surface rust on the back 3 ft. of the frame and on the receiver hitch. Nothing major, though. Chevy tough, I suppose. Thanks for the kind words, everyone.

Kevin,
Welcome. There is nothing at all wrong with a Jeep. I have had mine for almost 6 years. I drive it everyday.
