IN Am/fm working nice radio

Barely cleaned up radio... Hit lightly with 0000 steel wool on top right front. You can see the color change. Took multiple pics with both flash and non-flash. Have glove box door as well. RADIO WORKS!!! all complete

The knobs are the same as the AM radios from what I have seen. They are either all black or they have the chrome in the middle portion. It depends on the trim level of the truck. Everything else on the radio looks correct from what I can see. Good luck with the sale.

not to be critical....but... deluxe knobs are deluxe knobs.. if anything it has been confirmed that this radio is more scarce than that seeing how it seems to be an option out of a "no-trimmed" truck

I have to agree with PT and Brian on the knobs...also the option code for am/fm is U69...not the 63 that's in the Am code on that spid...that's just for a standard am push button radio...looks like that one was added in that truck at some point and they used some knobs they had....

HeavyMeataChevy your spid clearly says AM push button radio and if your truck came with the AM/FM radio don't you think it had the more deluxe options? I personally have never seen the plain knobs on an AM/FM radio, I'm not saying that has not happened but you have to admit the deluxe knobs look so much better!

Yes, the knobs and pieces under just need to be swapped out. The delco is in the correct spot and font and the font of the station numbers is correct (not van font)

HeavyMetalChevy just wanted to make sure you were clear on this and realized the spid didn't indicate a factory am/fm but just an am....didn't want any issues with the sale down the road if the buyer was going off this info. Not trying to bash but simply make sure it was a fair transaction for both you and the buyer and that people reading this would get the proper facts for future reference....Don't want you to feel like we're bashing you.

Yes, it is a 100% correct original AM/FM. One indicator is the Delco inscribed on the lens to the right in cursive. But that is not conclusive as to if it's an original truck radio. I have an early original van AM/FM that I picked up. It has the Delco inscribed in cursive to the right just like the original trucks.

The real indicator that tells that this is an original truck radio is the number font on the AM/FM dial. It is elongated and off-white (greenish tint). A van's dial has short, stocky white numbers. Another indicator is the antenna plug. The truck has it in the middle of the back, whereas a van's plug is on the bottom.

So, yes, this is an original Truck AM/FM. New knobs would do the trick . It's my guess that someone wanted to upgrade along the way. I also believe that in the process, they probably thought it'd look cook with the customized knobs.
