Car Show Trophy

My wife entered her truck in the local car show on Saturday. There were 4-5 67-72 trucks there. She won a couple of door prizes and a trophy for "Cool Girl Ride" She was excited. Lots of folks looked at her truck.

We met board member CJ5 Convert as well.

Re: Car Show Trophy

Ok here they are. My brothers and I built this truck. I gave it to my wife on her 29th birthday a year and a half ago. We just celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary last month. I asked her about the math, but she assures me it is correct.

That is a beautiful truck! She deserves it!
How do you like the 1-piece windows? How difficult was the process for you? Would you do it all over again?

That's a nice truck and yeah, I was a little confused at first when you said you gave it to her for her 29th birthday a year and a half ago and then said you just celebrated your 29th anniversary, took me a second to get it.

Re: Car Show Trophy

The glove box was cromed when I got it so no SPID. The seat is a glide engineering frame. McDonalds Upolstery in Nampa Idaho covered it. I wouldn't do the one piece windows again. They are pretty wobbly rolled part way up. If you try to roll them up at 50+ mph, the wind pressure pushes them out of the track and you can't get them all the way up without using both hands. Not too difficult on the right side, but taking both hands off the wheel and your eyes off the road to get the window up that last inch is risky.
