Wtb 3 speed tranny

Looking to buy 3 speed manual tranny for a '68 with 350 engine. 7 bolt side cover. Fairly close to SW Va. So i can come and pick up.

1968 Chevy Custom SWB pick up. Fleetside. Lowered 4/6. Totally refurbished. 1966 Pontiac GTO. 4 speed. Saved original 389. Now has slightly built 455 engine. 355 rear gears. Very fun to drive !

I have a 70 3 speed Saginaw I bought off a board member, never used, supposed to have been rebuilt. I am not exactly close by, eastern shore of Md....about 6-7hrs. $400. Bell housing clutch etc goes with it....Ed

Bought from NC john about 4 yrs ago. Used the column and sold the shifter linkage.

Tks for the reply. Let me think on it awhile. I'm a truck driver but don't get up that way. Don't mind driving a ways to p/u but 6-7 hrs. One way is stretching it.

I have one here if Jimmy can't find his. Will sell just the bare transmission or with the bell housing as shown. I can ship as well

I am pretty sure all the crud is from the leaky engine it was separated from

I noticed 2 different side covers on trannies shown. Difference ? I need one for stock 350 in a 68 swb. Tks jimmy/pgsigns any luck ?

Mine is out of a 69 LWB 2wd if I recall correctly

Received tranny in good cond. Installed. Works fine. I wonder if the valvoline gear oil thats rated for gl-5 AND gl-4 is ok to use or should i hold out for one rated at gl-4 only ?
